What is the project?
In partnership with the Environment Agency, West Northamptonshire Council is
launching a Community Resilience Project. Your community is in scope to benefit
from this project which aims to improve the resilience in your area against floods and
other emergencies.
Building the resilience of your community improves its ability to prepare, withstand
and recover from emergencies.
Community Resilience Profile
A report of the risks in the parish including flood risk. By understanding the risks in your area the community can be better prepared for an emergency.
Community Resilience Project 2025+
Community Emergency Plan Assistance with the creation or reviewing of the plan. Having a Community Emergency Plan can reduce the impact of an emergency
Flood Warden Training and support Training, grab bag and ongoing support
to Flood Wardens. Flood wardens play a vital role before, during and after a flood
event.
Community Awareness Support at community events, school visits and guidance materials to raise awareness of risks. This helps to raise awareness to different groups in the community.
